Privacy Policy
Can We Go? is a shared list of places and events you mean to go to.
What we store
- Your Apple sign-in, so we know which library is yours. Apple may give us your email address, or a private relay address if you chose to hide it.
- The name you give yourself in the app, so people in your group know who saved what.
- The cards you save: titles, dates, notes, links, photos you attach, and who in the group added them.
- A home city, if you set one, so dates and distances read in that city.
- Whether you subscribe to Can We Go? Plus, and until when, so your group gets its benefits.
- A device token, if you allow notifications, so someone else in the group can be told when you save something. It is stored with an ID Apple gives the app on your phone, so a reinstall replaces the old token instead of adding another.
Your phone’s own location stays on your phone. It is only used there, to show how far away a place is.
Add to calendar only adds the event you tapped. If you choose a calendar in Settings, iOS asks to let the app see your calendars; it only lists their names, on your phone, and never reads your events or sends anything about them to us.
We do not sell this. We do not run ads. We do not track you across other apps.
Who can see a save
People in your group. If you leave a shared group, their copies stay; yours come with you only when the leave flow says so. If you are the last member and you delete the account, that group’s library is removed.
Send to a friend makes a link to a copy of one card: its title, place, dates, photo and link, never your notes, plans or reminders. Anyone with the link can see that copy, on the web or in the app. Sending the same save again updates the copy. Deleting your account removes the copies you sent.
Photos and links
A screenshot or link you share or paste is sent to our parse function so we can turn it into a card for you to confirm. That happens as soon as you share into the app while signed in; signed out, nothing is sent. Nothing is kept until you tap Save.
Services we use
- Supabase hosts the database and sign-in.
- Anthropic’s Claude reads a shared screenshot or link to fill in the card. It is not used to train their models.
- Google Maps finds a venue’s address and opening hours, and can supply a photo when nothing else has one. OpenStreetMap turns an address into a map pin, and Wikipedia can supply a photo too. Only the venue is looked up, never anything about you.
- Apple handles sign-in, notifications and payments. We never see your card details.
Deleting your account
Everything above is kept for as long as you have an account. Deleting it removes it all, apart from saves left in a shared library, as below.
Settings → Delete account exports your library first, then removes your login. A shared library is left for the people still in it. A solo library is deleted with you. A Plus subscription is managed by Apple: cancel it in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
